Being an APTT member is not all work and training. This year we decided to focus a little more on social events, and thanks to support from members Chris Moad and Marian Free (who is also currently Secretary of Newcastle upon Tyne WEA Branch) we were able to organise a day out to York for APTT members, WEA members and students and their families and friends. Thirty-one of us took the coach to York from Newcastle Central Station on a rainy September morning, arriving in York for lunch. We had a fascinating guided tour around York Minster, and then free time to look around the attractions of York City centre. A grand day was had by all... and the weather improved as the day went on!
