'Quality, Evaluation and Management (QEM)' Training Day

Evaluating for Quality!

Supported by a small grant from 'Awards for All', this training day took place at Wallsend Peoples Centre on March10th 2001. It was taught by Margaret A. Bell and Bob Groves, and attracted ten students from a wide variety of adult and further education providers. The day looked at what quality in education is, how to achieve it via evaluation (and the various evaluation methods available). It also took a preview at the FENTO Draft National Standards in FE Management (current Draft: 6, as at time of writing), and discussed how these might be applied to improve quality of FE management across the sector. The QEM Day additionally gave a prequel of material to be incorporated in the new full-length accredited QEM course to take place later this year. A good time was had by all!
